The riff here sounds an awful lot like the oft-covered McCoys hit (and that's not the only place you can hear that chord progression), but the original melody is so good I could probably handle hearing it covered & ripped off for the rest of my life.
Nobunny is better known for their 2 minute punk bursts, but this acoustic song on their rarities / demoes compilation is a charmer. There's really not much else to say: classic melody, cheesy lyrics, mediocre mixing. I dig.
They're on tour literally everywhere besides the east coast, although they're coming to Toronto sooner and Memphis later (and Chicago somewhere in between -ed). I suppose I started that last sentence with a lie. Ain't the first, won't be the last. You can pick up the cassette on Burger Records (second pressing, so you know they're a hot commodity).
