Devendra Banhart's newest release What Will We Be comes out October 27th and is his first with a major label. There seem to be some real gems with this one: "Baby," which you can stream on his MySpace, sounds like the calmer, sweeter sequel to "Lover" from Smokey Rolls Down Thunder Canyon; "16th & Valencia Roxy Music" is the perfect sing-a-long rock anthem for driving and shaking hips (not at the same time, of course... okay, yeah, maybe at the same time); and "Angelika" goes into a Latin-influenced version of the song halfway through and does not let us forget Banhart's freakier and folkier days of yore.
It sounds like there is much to look forward to with this album, not to mention a mini-tour to go along with it. Check out the dates below!
