Kings of Convenience isn't slated to tour the east coast...but maybe they will in the future. I mean, they have to come all the way from Norway! Despite all that, it is definitely worth saying that they have recently put out a new album, Declaration of Dependence, full of soft vocals, quiet love songs, and uplifting bongos and strings. A perfect album for rainy day listening, it brings a cheerful melancholy without deviating too much from Kings typical, lovely style. The international album was recorded in Italy, Bergen, and in Erlend Øye's flat, one-half of the band. Eirik Glambek Bøe makes up the other half, and together they wrote and recorded their first album in 5 years. Have a listen!
