It's easy to be skeptical of The Pains of Being Pure at Heart; The name, the uber cute melancholy lyrics, adorable photos, and the huge splash they've made; you may be tempted to ignore them.

You'd be doing yourself a disservice, however, as they really are making some great music, even if they're not exactly breaking new ground. I wasn't completely won over until I saw them play at South by Southwest, where they ended up playing my second favorite set. Go see them.
